My wife bought a handmade chef’s knife from Matthias Quadekker (a.k.a. the Dutch Blacksmith) (link). It is a beautifully made steel knife with a hard wooden handle and a stunning texture on the blade itself. Because of the knife being made out of steel I decided to make a custom sheath for it in order to protect, store and carry the knife around. I added a small strap with a snap closure in order to secure the sheath in place.
