Hi, my name is Rob Nelissen.
With 15 years of experience in serious game development, I have a lot of knowledge of conceptualizing and building didactic games with many different learning objectives for a variety of target groups. My skills include conceptualization, game design, level design, interaction design, UX design, experience design, narrative design and interactive storytelling. I am proud to have been able to work on several award-winning serious games during this time.
With a great eye for detail and always with the user's experience in mind, I want people to experience and learn something. Whether these are serious games that take place entirely in the digital world or connect the digital and analog world such as moving learning games, interactive installations and immersive experiences.
In addition to my work as a game designer of serious games, I have been developing my leather, wood and metalworking skills for years. With my fascination for heritage goods, old crafts and upcycling, I hope to give a counter voice to mass production and the consumer society. Giving materials a new life, making products with the quality of the past that will last a lifetime. Whether it's a custom leather bag, a tailor-made cabinet or the restoration of old objects, I like to make things and I'm a jack of all trades.
